To better serve Amarillo citizens during the current COVID-19 situation, Amarillo Public Library has created a temporary system to help patrons apply for and receive a library card without visiting the library in person.  If you do not live in Amarillo or own a business or property within the city limits, call 378-3054 for assistance.

To apply for a card, please complete the application below.  Library staff will respond to your application by email.  Please reply to the email with a photo ID (a photo from your phone’s camera will be fine as long as the info is readable) and a current photo of yourself.  If the information on your ID is current, that’s all you need.  If you have a different address, please also include some other proof of residency.  You can snap a photo of a current utility bill or a piece of mail—as long as we can see your name, address, and a postmark.  We will create your account and mail your card to you.  You’ll receive your PIN (personal identification number) which you’ll need to access our website and online services in an email.

We are very pleased to help you set up your Library card.  Please contact 378-3054 if you have any questions.
