Amarillo Public Library is partnering with Haven Health Clinics to assist individuals and families needing help with benefit applications.

On the third Tuesday of each month, a patient navigator from Haven Health will be available at one of Amarillo Public Library’s branches to help people with the complicated and often confusing process of applying for benefits. Patient Navigators can assist with applications for:

  • Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP)
  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
  • Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
  • Healthy Texas Women (HTW)
  • Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening (BCCS)

Here is the current schedule for benefit application assistance:

Tuesday, June 16 from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM
North Branch Library – 1500 NE 24th Ave.

Tuesday, July 21 from 3 to 6 PM
Northwest Branch Library – 6100 SW 9th Ave.

Tuesday, August 18 from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM
East Branch Library – SE 27th Ave.

Tuesday, September 15 from 3 to 6 PM
Southwest Branch Library – 6801 SW 45th
