National Poetry Month was started in 1996 by the Academy of American Poets as a celebration of poetry’s essential role in American life and culture. Since then, National Poetry Month has become the largest literary celebration in the world, and Amarillo Public Library is excited to be a part of it!

Join us for special opportunities to read, write, and hear poetry this April.
