Amarillo Public Library is adding new resources to amarillolibrary.org which will help cardholders finding read material, explore history, culture, and social issues, and make smart consumer decisions.
Novelist Plus and Novelist K-8 (for children) are searchable databases to help APL cardholders find their next great read—whether it’s something brand-new or an older title they might have missed. Readers can search for history, science fiction, self-help, bible studies, biography, LGBTQ+, cooking, DIY, or any subject that interests them. Novelist is also searchable by read-alikes, so patrons can enter titles and authors they have enjoyed in the past and find new books to love."
EBSCO Diversity and Ethnic Studies Collection includes more than 5,500 high-quality e-books assessed by EBSCO Collection Development Librarians on the topic of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Ethnic Diversity Source is a dedicated resource covering the culture, traditions, and social treatment of different ethnic groups in America. It provides full text from a growing list of sources including peer-reviewed journals, magazines, e-books, biographies, primary source documents, and videos revealing the lived experiences of:

- Multiracial Americans
Consumer Reports is the world's largest nonprofit product-testing organization and has been helping consumers find better, safer products for more than eighty years. By accessing Consumer Reports through the APL website, cardholders can compare price, performance, and reliability all in one place with expert reviews on an array of topic including:
- Appliances
- Products for infants and children
- Cars
- Electronics
- Health, fitness products, and food
- Home and garden purchases
The new services will be live on the Amarillo Public Library website starting April 1.
