Amarillo Public Library patrons may now access ABCmouse for free when they visit any APL location. ABCmouse is a comprehensive early learning site for children ages 2-8+, covering reading and language arts, math, science, social studies, art, and music.

Assistant Director of Library Services Shaun McDonald says ABCmouse is a great opportunity for kids to build academic skills and have fun every time they visit the library.  “ABCmouse is child-safe, with no advertising or links to other websites, so parents and caregivers can feel confident when their kids use it at the library."

While a subscription fee is required to use ABCmouse elsewhere, library patrons can use it for free through APL’s public access computers or by logging on to APL Wi-Fi.  Patrons can even download the ABCmouse app to a phone or tablet to let kids access the content while in the library.

ABCmouse has won numerous awards and features more than 8,500 learning opportunities including books, games, puzzles, songs, art activities, and other interactive features.
