Amarillo Public Library is teaming up with the Amarillo Genealogical Society and Panhandle PBS to offer experienced and aspiring genealogists a chance to learn more about tracing their family tree. At this free come-and-go event, the public can learn more about the Downtown Library’s rich genealogical resources and view selected Season 12 episodes of the PBS series, “Finding Your Roots with Henry Louis Gates, Jr.” Amarillo lineage societies will be on hand to share information about membership and their historical and genealogical work. Assistance will be available for the public to access genealogy resources, including online and print materials, and refreshments will be provided.
