Access 190,000 poems in full-text on the Amarillo Public Library's website. Grangers World of Poetry is provided through the Harrington Library Consortium.
Granger's® World of Poetry Online is the online source for locating a poem in anthologies on library shelves. The large annotated collection of published poems and index can be used for answering such questions as: what poem contains that line about… or who wrote that poem about…? As very general tips provided by Granger's®, anyone can use the resource in many ways.
Comparing Poems – the large electronic indexes can help you make interesting comparisons. You may go from your favorite poem to quite different poems by the same author or to different treatments of the same subject by different authors.
Creating Your Own Anthology - the subject index lets you see how many poems on that topic are available immediately to be printed out.
Writing Your Own Poetry - the urge to write a poem may come from anywhere, and it may certainly come from reading poems, hundreds of thousands of which are in Granger's®.
Learn about Poems - basic information about a particular poem's content, form, and date are available, together with guides to further reading. Thousands of poems are also accompanied by a biography of the author.
