Ancestry Library Edition Print

Ancestry Library EditionThe popular genealogy resource, ANCESTRY, is now available at the library!  Amarillo Public Library now subscribes to the Ancestry Library Edition.

Ancestry Library Edition provides access to over 2 billion names in over 4,000 databases.  Included in the collection of databases is an every name index to the US Federal Census from 1790 to 1930; a United Kingdom and Ireland census collection form 1861 to 1901; World War I Draft Registrations; civil War Service Records; several immigration collections; and other collections that include birth, marriage, death records, court records, land records and probate records.  New material is added almost daily.

Ancestry Library Edition can be accessed in the library at the Special Collections Department, located on the second floor of Central Library downtown.
