Join us Thursdays in October for dramas based on detective novels by Conan Doyle’s contemporaries. Films start at 4, but come early for an investigation activity led by the Discovery Center! Doors open at 3; activity begins at 3:30.
In cooperation with Amarillo College’s Common Reader project, our autumn AMARILLO READS book is Blue Hole Back Home by Joy Jordan-Lake. Join us to talk aout the book and make plans to meet the author November 11.

Visit the Southwest Branch Library and choose a book, audiobook, or DVD from the selection of paper wrapped materials on display. (You won’t know the identity of your selection until you get it home, but all choices are recommended by Library Staff in our BookNews Staff Picks e-newsletter.) Return the entry form inside the book to be entered for a chance to win a prize! The drawing will be held at 8 PM on Thursday, October 30 and the winner notified by phone. Must be 18 years or older to participate, and only 1 “Trick or Treat” checkout allowed per day. Books must remain wrapped until out of the library. Some books contain an additional prize!
