This meeting of the Downtown Lunchtime Book Club was rescheduled because of snow. We’re kicking off our Winter Celebration of Willa Cather with a look at the author’s Prairie Trilogy, which includes O Pioneers!, Song of the Lark, and My Antonia. Each of these novels is a stand-alone story dealing with life on the Great Plains in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Read any one (or more) and join us to talk about it!

Join us for an advance viewing of The Cookie Thief (Sesame Street’s first-ever Cookie Monster special)!  We’ll also make our own Cookie Monster pop up cards (in connection with the Amarillo Museum of Art’s Wizards of Pop art exhibition) and enjoy cookies from Ms. Piggy’s Custom Bakery Shoppe and milk from Plains Dairy.

The Cookie Thief is a new one-hour movie that debuts on Panhandle PBS on Monday, February 16th.
